Leona LaurenLeona Louise Lewis, born on April 3, 1985. She is an actor an activist, singer and actress of British origin. Born within the London Borough of Islington, she was a student at in the BRIT School for Performing Arts and Technology located in Croydon. Lewis received national recognition by winning the third season of The X Factor in 2006 which resulted in the PS1 million recording deal in partnership with Syco Music. The song she was awarded and was a cover Kelly Clarkson's song "A Moment Like This" that was released, received 50,000 downloads within 30 minutes. It also peaked at number 1 for about four weeks. Clive Davis, Lewis's American record label J Records signed Lewis a 5-album deal in February 2007. Lewis continued her success by releasing Spirit Her first studio album. It was 10x platinum accredited in the UK. The album was the fourth most-sold album in 2000, and it was also among the most-sold UK albums. Spirit According to Official Charts Company is the highest-seller debut album by a female artist. The lead single, "Bleeding Love", went on to chart for seven weeks in the UK. 1 in the UK and was also the top-selling single in 2007. The song was also the highest-selling single sold in the US that year. Lewis won the Billboard Best New Artist Award subsequent year. Echo is her second studio album. The album also featured the song "I See You" to accompany Avatar. Lewis also debuted "Collide," a joint work with Swedish DJ Avicii. In the year 2011, she also released Hurt an extended performance from her first EP. Glassheart (2012) was her third studio album. The album was inspired by electronic and dubstep music. Lewis began recording music for her Christmas debut album in the course of her Glassheart Tour, which took during the middle of 2013. Christmas, With Love was released in the final quarter of 2013. Its single lead, One More Sleep, was a top 3 hit on the charts in the UK. Lewis, an British solo female artist was the first British solo artist to break the Top Five with eight singles. It was more than Olivia Newton John's record which was seven.
